Anita Glicken co-chaired a National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine (NASEM) workshop in February of this year.
The workshop, “Sharing Models of Whole-Person Oral Health Education,” took place February 15-16 virtually and in-person at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. This two-day workshop included panel discussions and opportunities to connect with other attendees in breakout sessions. Attendees reviewed various oral health educational models aimed at improving the overall health of persons from underserved communities, and explored the value proposition of interprofessional holistic oral health education with experts in the field.
