Anita Duhl Glicken, MSW, Professor and Associate Dean Emerita at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Center, has over 35 years of administrative, research and education experience. A founding member of the National Interprofessional Initiative on Oral Health (NIIOH), she now serves as the organization’s Executive Director. Ms. Glicken is immediate past chair of HRSA’s Federal Advisory Committee on Training in Primary Care Medicine and Dentistry (ACTPCMD) and was Consultant and Chair of the Primary Care Collaborative Advisory Committee that produced the award-winning Integration of Oral Health in Primary Care Compendium. Ms. Glicken has personally received several national awards; under her leadership the NIIOH has received the ADEA Foundation’s Gies Award and the National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education’s George T. Thibault Award. She has been a consultant and Chair of the National Academies of Medicine Global Forum on Innovation in Health Professional Education Oral Health Workshops and currently serves on the Advisory Group for the CDC funded National Association of Chronic Disease Directors’ Medical – Dental Integration Project, the Meharry University Oral Health Equity Project and the CIPCOH 100 Million Mouths Campaign Advisory Board and is an active member of the Sante Fe Group Board.
Dr. Judith Haber is the Executive Director of the Oral Health Nursing Education and Practice Program (OHNEP), funded by CareQuest and HRSA, and Professor Emerita at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing. Dr. Haber is the lead author of the landmark (2015) AJPH publication, Putting the Mouth Back in the Head: HEENT to HEENOT. She was a member of the HRSA Expert Panel that developed the 2014 Interprofessional Oral Health Core Competencies for Primary Care Providers and a member of the Technical Expert Panel that developed the 2015 Qualis Health White Paper, Oral Health: An Essential Component of Primary Care. She contributed to the National Institutes of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) 2022 Oral Health in America: Advances and Challenges. Dr. Haber has been invited to join numerous Advisory Boards, including the Veteran’s Administration (VA) NVHAP National Advisory Board, CareQuest More Cares Program National Advisory Committee, the Primary Care Collaborative (PCC) National Steering Committee on Shared Principles, the CIPCOH 100 Million Mouths Advisory Board, the National Medically Necessary Medicare Dental Benefit Consortium, and the GoMoHealth Advisory Board.
Dr. Karlynn Sievers is an Associate Program Director with St. Mary’s Family Medicine Residency Program in Grand Junction, CO. She attended medical school at the University of MO – Columbia, then completed residency at Truman Medical Center – Lakewood in Kansas City, MO. She was in private practice for 5 years before moving into academic medicine. She has been a faculty member with the residency program in Grand Junction since 2017. She is board certified in both Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine. She also has a special interest in oral health. She joined Smiles for Life in 2015, and took over as editor of the curriculum in 2022.
